6. Prince Charming
Once Fiona’s plan of saving Prince Charming fails he becomes the recurring antagonist of the franchise, having been raised by the Fairy Godmother to believe that he was destined to come to the aid of Fiona. He’s a vain, entitled, and bitterly disappointed about Far Far Away losing his lioness, Fiona, to the ogre, and he devises some schemes in order to take his ogre princess as well as his kingdom.
7. The Fairy Godmother

20. Sleeping Beauty
This princess is one of Fiona’s closest friends, and is green, like Fiona’s eyes. As her name implies, she frequently naps at the most inopportune times, but she has figured out how to utilize it to her benefit, such as napping guards the first time.
21. Merlin
Artie’s eccentric wizard mentor is a short old man who is bald, has a long white beard and retired from teaching at Worcestershire Academy. Rapunzel pretends to be a friend of Fiona’s but it’s actually a scheme by her true boyfriend, Prince Charming. The character is one of the more clever takes on the classic fairy tale, as once Gingy climbs her hair, she discovers that the woman is actually bald under her long locks.

In Shrek 2, Cyclops’ one large eye makes him an instantly recognizable character as the intimidating bouncer at the Poison Apple bar. 26. Cookie the Ogre
As chef of the ogre resistance in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Cookie feeds the fighting ogres and is able to go to their aid when they are needed on the battlefield. 27. Kitty Softpaws
Kitty Softpaws is clever, persuasive, and is always just what she wants as the girlfriend of Puss in Boots. She teases Puss as much as she loves him, yet is sweet with him yet with a bit of a destructive edge; she’s not afraid of danger, however losing Puss is a genuine dread.
28. Gretchen
Gretchen is a brown haired, big, determined supporting player in the ogre resistance army. Like the other ogres she fights to liberate Far Far Away from Rumpelstiltskin’s rule with the same determination and courage the resistance used to fight their tyrants.
29. Captain Hook
Captain Hook is easy to spot by his short black hair, moustache and his purple and yellow pirate outfit, and he serves as the antagonist under Prince Charming’s command. He invades Shrek’s house with his friends and ushers a spooky pirate theme into the fairy tale universe of Shrek.
30. Farkle, Fergus and Felicia
The later chapters in the series are filled with chaos and comedy with the mischievous ogre triplets Shrek and Fiona. Felicia is particularly famous for carrying around her doll Sir Squeakles and all three children have a very close relationship with their parents and their Dronkey pals, having a grand family party to celebrate their birthday.
31. Doris
As a bartender at the Poison Apple Club, Doris is a tall, manly “man-lady” who has a very deep voice. The characters first appear in Shrek 2, when she sneaks up to the club to meet King Harold, and is revealed to be one of the stepsisters in Cinderella’s stepsisters at the end of the film.
